Tata group-owned Air India unveiled a new brand logo called “The Vista”. This logo takes inspiration from the airline’s old window design and signifies possibilities and progress.
While this new logo will be prominently featured going forward, the iconic Maharaja mascot that had represented Air India for decades will still live on.
Travelers can anticipate viewing the new logo and design in December. Air India is scheduled to take delivery of the first batch of 470 new aircraft ordered as part of a multi-billion dollar deal. This plans to massively upgrade the airline’s fleet.
New Logo Signifies Aspirations for a Global Brand
The CEO of Air India highlighted that the brand transformation aims to establish the airline as a world-class operator serving global guests and representing a new, progressive India.
Significant investments are also being made to enhance customer experience and digital offerings like a new website and an app.
Speaking at the logo launch, the Chairman of Tata Sons emphasized that alongside fleet upgrades, human resources will be a focus area. The new branding symbolizes their ambitions vision for Air India.
Boosting Services for Growth
The airline stated it is making investments to enhance its services, further solidifying its position as the preferred airline for domestic and international travel alike.
With growing air travel demand anticipated, the large aircraft order includes various wide body and narrow body planes from Airbus and Boeing in a mega $70 billion deal. The order will start arriving over the coming months and years.
Since acquiring Air India in January 2022, Tata Sons has undertaken a revamp. It includes plans to merge it with Vistara to develop a new unified entity.
